11. Clements End and Little Drybrook

This walk starts at Clements End Chapel where there is plenty of roadside parking.

The walk takes in most of the scattered squatter development of Clements End and Little Drybrook, once a quarrying and coalmining area.

Length 2.9 miles. Duration 1 ½ hours.

There are a few gentle slopes and 3 stiles. Height gained/lost 460 feet. Grade easy to moderate.

The walk follows lanes, tracks and footpaths firstly up to the top of Clements End with views out to Bream and Ellwood and beyond. Then back via the Oakwood Valley to the lower part of Clements End where the new holiday chalets have been built. Crossing the road take a turn around Clements Tump before descending into Little Drybrook, just 11 houses here. Then back up to the chapel via a short wooded path.
