Starting from the Angus Buchanan Recreation Ground this strenuous walk visits two attractive villages and passes evidence of ancient iron mining. There are numerous stiles and some long slopes but the effort will be rewarded with the chance to enjoy a fine lunch towards the end of the walk at the Ostrich, Newland (food will cost extra). Walkers are welcome to bring their own packed lunch to enjoy within the village setting.
