16. Woorgreens Nature Reserve

  1. Woorgreens Nature Reserve – Approx 2.5 miles – Moderate – 14:00- £5

The walk over Woorgreens nature reserve is approx. 2.5 miles and should take about 2.5 hours due to talking to illustrate various habitats along route. It would be considered an easy walk but it does have inclines and potential very sticky muddy sections of path (weather dependent) so we pitch it as moderate to avoid annoyance!

A walk around the Forest of Dean’s biggest nature reserve to learn of the gains, conflicts and challenges for wildlife in gaining spaces for nature that are bigger, better and more connected with support of conservation grazing.

Park off the B4226 at GR623124 Speech House Woodlands car park.
